5 Routine Habits to Adopt From NBA Star LeBron James

LeBron James first started in Ohio with his first breakout in the sport of basketball, playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers. He quickly made his way up the ranks and earned his much-deserved spot as one of the most influential basketball players, and athletes, in history. 

He is married to his high school sweetheart, has three beautiful children, and maintains an active, as well as healthy, family-filled lifestyle. Even if you may not be able to ball like LeBron, you can stead some of his habits and incorporate them into your daily routine.

1. He Takes His Sleep Seriously

You probably know by now how essential sleep is. The doctors recommend it, and LeBron surely takes it to heart, and then some. James collects, on average, 12 hours of sleep each day. He sleeps the recommended 8 hours each night and then opts for a 3-hour nap after completing his fitness workouts for the day. 

2. He Listens To & Cares for His Body

James believes that the body is the number one thing and that it is a temple. He mentions that if you don’t listen to your body, it will fail you. He takes the necessary precautions and recognizes symptoms before they get serious. 

3. Hydrates Regularly 

LeBron James lives a very active and fitness-heavy lifestyle, so he needs a lot of water as it is. He starts the day with two large glasses of water and makes sure to continue drinking as much as he can throughout the day until he goes to bed at night.  

4. Values Family Time

Even though LeBron didn’t have a father figure in his life while growing up, he has vowed to spend as much time as he can with his kids. Regardless of his hectic or demanding schedules, LeBron always makes sure to put in the quality time with his family. 

5. Unwinds by Listening to Music

James uses music as his outlet to unwind. His favorite artists include Jay-Z, 50 Cent, Eminem, and more. Being so dedicated to music, it was no surprise that LeBron James invested early in the $3 billion-dollar company, Beats.
