Fueled by Love
A note along with lunch is a nice touch, but what about a note and no sandwich? This would be even worse if the note only confirmed that there was no food. Surely, the note should provide directions to food, or money for food. Is this kid supposed to sit down to lunch and then discover that their mom forgot? Ouch.
We’ll concede that this mom at least offered her love as fuel, though her child would probably prefer a bag of chips.
Mom’s Medical Note
When a parent is in a rush, there’s no time for neat handwriting, important details, or lengthy explanations. Given more time, this note could have said, “I’ve taken your father to his colonoscopy appointment,” but it instead goes with a much blunter approach.
Hopefully, this child already knew that their dad was going to the hospital, or else this note might have read a little differently. One thing’s for sure though — this mom definitely got the important information across.
The Lost Joke
Sometimes, the simple ones are the best, and that’s what we have with this note. The child that found this sticky “Haha” sticky note along with a very old and rotten banana. If this practical joke had worked out, it might indeed have been funny.
It turns out that their mother had hidden the banana somewhere and then forgotten about it. By the time their poor child found it, it was no longer a laughing matter.
Mom’s Not Here
This note takes a different approach and uses the voice of a child looking for their parent. We all know the familiar refrain of “Mom! Mom! Moooooooooom,” so why not write it on a piece of paper and show your kid how annoying it is?
This tired mom probably wants her children to know that they can do things by themselves without asking her first. Once they’ve discovered this amusing note, maybe they’ll get on with their own business without hollering for mom right away.
