The world has long recovered from the shocking news of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s decision to go their separate ways back in September 2016. However, we are yet to see how things will unfold following their years-long battle for custody over their children. Although the former power couple previously expressed their desire to continue spending the holidays together “as a family,” it would appear those plans, much like 2020, have been canceled.
Former Lovers Turned Enemies Amid Custody Rights
An insider source recently shared that it had been agreed between the pair that Brad Pitt could spend Christmas Eve with three of his kids, namely twins Knox and Vivienne, both 11, and daughter Shiloh, 14. The other three children the couple shares are Maddox, 19, Zahara, 15, and Pax, 16, who allegedly spent the holidays with their mom. The reason behind this family separation during the holidays, the source says, is that “egos have once again derailed the original plan of coming together for the festive season.”
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s Relationship Remains ‘Tense’
People close to the former couple say that Angelina has denied Brad’s wish for them to have a 50/50 joint legal and physical custody of the kids. The holiday custody matter was resolved before a judge last year, which is telling enough of the tense relationship between both actors.
Speculations as to why the relations between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have worsened in the last few months continue to circle the media. Some say Jolie is frustrated with the setbacks of the custody court case, while others speculate she doesn’t approve of Pitt’s rumored flings, and there’s also the fact that the pandemic prevented her from doing her charity work overseas, which has probably added more fuel to the fire. Brad was last reported to be dating model Nicole Poturalski, 27, but whether the pair is still together is highly doubtful.
