Michael Keaton Returns as Batman Alongside Ben Affleck in The Flash

Ezra Miller has finally marked what is probably his last appearance in the DCEU era with the newly released trailer of The Flash. As the DC Studios is heading toward a new direction, with a reformed DCU, co-headed by James Gunn and Peter Safran, there’s no telling if Miller will get a spot in their game plan. But it’s another long-retired fan-favorite superhero who is making fans excited about the upcoming movie. Michael Keaton is returning as Batman and just a glimpse of his appearance in the Super Bowl trailer of The Flash completely stole the show!

The Lead Characters

Warner Bros. debuted the new trailer during the recent Super Bowl, where Miller took the lead as super-fast Barry Allen, aka, The Flash, in the first standalone film of the DC character. Previously, Miller appeared as the superfast hero in Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016), Justice League (2017), and also Zack Snyder’s Justice League (2021). The time-bending trailer of the new movie teased the returns of Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton, reprising their own versions of Batman. There’s also a bitter-sweet surprise for fans, as the trailer introduced Supergirl, which presumably is a move to make up for the controversial decision of the new CEOs to oust fan-favorite Henry Cavill from his iconic role of Superman.

The Story
