Michael Jordan is considered to be the greatest basketball player in history. His style, dominance, and dedication to perfection made him not only a global superstar but also a highly successful athlete.
Ask any of his rivals or teammates, and they will all tell you that he was nearly impossible to guard. His offense stats are staggering. With 32,292 points, he ranks fifth in the NBA’s all-time scoring charts. However, he was always an excellent guard who was almost impossible to beat.

Michael Jordan Was a Superstar Defender
Doc Rivers, current coach of the LA Clippers, described Jordan as “the best superstar defender in the history of the game.” During his playing days, Rivers often had to bring the ball up the floor with Jordan guarding him end line to end line.
Jordan is renowned for his gravity-defying dunks and eye-catching layups. But few people realize how good he was on the defense side. He blocked shots from players taller than him, covered passing lanes, and tracked his opponents so closely that they could literally feel his breath on their faces.

Since steals and blocks were first recorded during the 1973-1974 championship, Jordan is the only player to have made 100 blocks and 200 steals in two different seasons. Only Scottie Pippen and Hakeem Olajuwon have managed to attain such defensive stats but unlike Michael they managed to do it only once.
His Defensive Knowledge Made Him Great
One of his former Chicago Bulls teammates shared that “Michael was a defensive player who was exceptionally talented offensively.” He believes that Jordan used his defensive intelligence and prowess to hone his offensive skills and shape himself into the legend that he became.

There’s absolutely no doubt that Michael Jordan was a phenomenon who brought joy to millions of basketball aficionados with his layups and dunks. But true connoisseurs know that he was more than an electrifying attacker. He was a complete basketball player who can help in both phases of the game.
Top 3 Bad Habits in Grooming That Men Should Absolutely Avoid
By Penny King –
The days of men getting away with being slobs and bad habits are long gone. Indeed, such a stereotype largely persists as an outdated image of a carefree bachelor’s lifestyle. Today, personal hygiene and grooming are critical components not only of an attractive and pleasant appearance but also of an overall healthy and active lifestyle.
Therefore, if you are still stuck with some bad grooming habits, you should immediately begin weeding them out. Here are a few examples:
#1. Wearing Dirty Clothes
If your home is strewn with dirty laundry, it’s time to get your act together. Worse, if you’re the type who wears the same clothes for days on end, you’d be wise to give it up. You do not need to be told that this practice can result in unpleasant body odor and diseases such as fungal and bacterial infections. Laundry may be a chore, but it is necessary. To make things easier on yourself, schedule a weekly laundry day in which you either throw your dirty clothes in the washing machine or take them to the laundromat.
If you truly cannot avoid it or your busy schedule makes it difficult to break, opt for specialized clothing that promotes good hygiene. These include antimicrobial socks for men, which are made of a fabric that has been treated to inhibit the growth of bacteria. This contributes to the prevention of foot odor and skin disease. You can also opt for similar apparel such as shirts and shorts made of moisture-wicking fabric, which aids in wicking away sweat and preventing unpleasant odors.
#2. Not Taking Regular Baths
Occasionally, it’s the cold weather or an extremely hectic daily schedule. However, more often than not, you must admit that your refusal to take a bath or shower is due to pure laziness. You may not be aware, but there are numerous benefits to having daily bathing habits. Apart from keeping your skin clean and smelling good, bathing helps regulate your body temperature, improves blood circulation, and contributes to your overall well-being. Indeed, a hot shower may help alleviate headaches or migraines, as well as a sore body following a workout. If you’re having trouble sleeping at night, a warm bath before bedtime can also help.
Most importantly, remember that bathing habits involve not only soaping and scrubbing your body, but also all other associated hygiene practices such as washing your face, shampooing your hair, brushing your teeth, and cleaning your ears. You should not rush through the process, but rather take your time thoroughly cleaning your skin and body parts. Shaving or trimming facial and body hair is also best done immediately following a shower or bath when your skin is soft and naturally moisturized.
#3. The Worst of All Habits: Avoiding Personal Care Products
Sure, lathering lotions, creams, ointments, and essences all over your body requires considerable effort and time, not to mention a significant financial investment. Having habits of investing in your appearance, in the long run, is always great. Keep in mind that you are also contributing to the health and well-being of your body’s largest organ—your skin. Every man should have the following grooming essentials: deodorant, lotion or moisturizer, and shaving cream or gel. Additionally, if you lead an active outdoor lifestyle, sunscreen is a must to protect you from the sun’s harmful UV rays, which can cause skin cancer.
A pleasant fragrance is also recommended, as are other optional skincare products that can assist in addressing issues such as discoloration or aging. You can easily purchase these and determine which ones work best for you. Even better, you can consult a dermatologist or other skin care professional. Don’t be surprised if you discover that you enjoy experimenting with new personal care products and regimens, as it’s a lot of fun and enjoyable. Smelling good should be one of your top priorities and one of your best habits will surely be appreciated.
